Borobudur at a glance
Borobudur Temple , situated to the northwest of Yogyakarta, is recognized as the largest ancient Buddhist temple in the world, constructed in the 8th century and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This impressive structure rises majestically on a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding lush green fields and distant hills, and is designed in seven tiers, each progressively smaller than the one beneath it. At third level lies the Great Stupa, which reaches a height of forty meters above the ground.
Prambanan Temple, located to the east of Yogyakarta, is renowned as a significant complex of Hindu temples, also dating back to the 9th century.
This site comprises a series of smaller temples alongside larger ones dedicated to the deities Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu.
Visitors to Prambanan can admire the intricate carvings on the temple walls that vividly depict scenes from the Ramayana, enhancing the cultural and historical significance of this remarkable site.

Step 1 Borobudur Tour
